365 Days: Day 16 – Curtains are hung!

Day 16 – Curtains are hung!, originally uploaded by fabooj.

This is how I spent most of my Thanksgiving. I rearranged the kid’s bedroom and finally hung up curtains on their windows! The previous owners left up the blinds and me being lazy, left them up too. So almost a year after we bought the house, the curtains have been hung. It’s amazing how much it alters their room. It’s so much more cheerful in there. Since the blinds were brown, the room isn’t as dark as it was before. I should admit that I did keep the blinds up.

Day 17 – Late night relaxation, originally uploaded by fabooj.

Yesterday, I did a step class, lifted some weights, did a bit of gardening and painted picture frames for the kids bedroom. We got them to bed early and headed to the backyard for a little wind down.

I just got home from the gym and thought, “Hey, a sweating gross picture of me would totally rock!”
No, no…you’re welcome.

Oh and shayera, after my shower we’re heading to Ikea and I’m definitely stopping for that burrito before we get there. :)

Day – 14: I match my bathroom

Day – 14: I match my bathroom, originally uploaded by fabooj.

I got dressed this morning in green pants and the purple shirt I wore in my picture yesterday. Then because I had to interact with people for work and it was freezing, I tossed on a black sweater. I looked at me and realized I looked pukey. Like my bathroom. That’s why I chose this location for the photo.

Day 12, originally uploaded by fabooj.

My husband and the girl were watching Heroes and I was trying to hide away from the (annoying) blasting TV. Unfortunately, I couldn’t read with all that noise.

What makes this photo pretty lame is that I changed my shirt to post it. In my first photo, I was wearing the same shirt I had on yesterday.

Day 11 or 12 – More Xbox, originally uploaded by fabooj.

This should actually be Day 11, as I don’t remember taking a photo on the 17th and if I did, it’s on the other computer that isn’t hooked up to the internet at the moment. I was really tired and couldn’t really walk. So I played a bajillion games of billiards and Puzzle Quest instead.

Day 10 – Me holding biscuits, originally uploaded by fabooj.

We went to an Indian market to stock up and Alton ripped into these biscuits, so I had to buy them. When we got home, I looked at the packaged and loved all the ideal “times” listed. They are: Travel, Eid, Rest, Tea and Monsoon.

Monsoon.

Yep. I don’t know maybe it’s because I live in LA and we get so little rainfall that the idea of nibbling biscuits during a monsoon seems so mundane.

365 Days: Day 7

Day 7 - Sudoku

As I mentioned a while back on my blog, about 10 years ago I used to be a big sudoku addict. Now that the rest of the country is finally playing it, I can find sudoku books.

This generally how I spend my evenings.

365 Days: Day 6

Day 5 - Happy Birthday to Me!

I turned 35 today. So, I got a birthday gift. It’s a hat.

See…I have a freakishly large head. It’s not just moonface, my head is gigantic. This means it’s really hard to find hats for me. My dreads added an extra 3 – 4 inches on my head, brining it to 24″ in diameter. HUGE. Usually, when I find a hat I like, I buy it. When I saw this hat, I fell in love, but being broke decided against purchasing it.

My husband bought for me as a birthday present!

365 Days: Day 5

Day 5 - Me doing DDR Universe

I spend my last hours of being 34 playing DDR Universe. Quite possibly, the most cracked out game ever invented.

The camera’s on a tripod down low, so this is an interesting angle. It makes it look like I’m pretty tall or that I don’t have 15′ ceilings.

I’m not a poser, so I kept playing even after the camera took the picture. I upload and type this all sweaty, ready to get back to some DDR.
