faboo mama

inside the mind of an opinionated mama…

Oh, it’s on muthafucka!

I’ve been having some serious issues with my blog and an “unresponsive script error”.  That’s why I haven’t been posting as much.  Well…drumroll…I not only figured out the problem, but I also fixed.  Be ready for a flood of my most inane thoughts.

So…uh…I changed my blog again.

This will be the last time. I promise. Unless I find another theme I like better.
Some of you may have noticed that I when to a .com a couple of weeks ago. I have a website, where I’m paying for hosting but not using it. It seemed silly, since they just charged me money I don’t have for the next year, not to use it. So I’ve changed everything over. The bonus is that I can use javascript and other stuff, so I can totally prettify my spot here. The other bonus, is that I can put ads on this site. You can’t put ads on WP hosted sites, so even with my partner links I was toeing the line.

I apologize to demeur, your last comment is lost in cyberspace forever. All other comments from before are here even though the blogs all say there no comments. I’ve added something to my blog that should give you a rich-text editor for your posts, so if it doesn’t work, please let me know.

Biggest bummer is that I’ve lost all my stats from the old blog. That should happen. Makes me sad. Now, I have to start all over again!

That’s all…thanks for visiting.

UPDATE: I’ve been messing around with tihs and it looks like you’ll have to register in order to comment. I’m not sure if that’s true since I can comment. Still, I think I made it so that you can register now if you have to.

A practically blog free day

That is, I didn’t blog here, though I’ve been all over the intertubes today.  I just needed to chill and digest some of the stuff I’ve been reading.  I would start writing a political post, only to wind up searching for gardening info, then don’t get me started on gadgets.  Ya’ll are lucky, I only bore you with the political crap.  I can talk some gadgets too.  There’s just too much drooling involved at time.

I spend another day in my garden, and it’s nice to see the changes happening so rapidly.  Today, I took cuttings from my succulents so I can put some in the front yard.  This should be interesting as far as water usage is concerned.  I still have no idea how I’m running my drip irrigation to the front part of the yard.

Man, today everyone was grilling something.  I went to the store and bought some chicken thinking, “Oh yeah, it’s grill time!”  When I went out to finally  got outside to get the grill going, you can just smell all the meats cooking around the neighbhorhood.  Music was bumpin’…it was like July, but colder!

I’m actually going to be able to participate in Weekly Winners tomorrow.  I can’t believe it!  At first, I didn’t remember it until Monday, then my camera battery died, then I just wasn’t really taking photos.  Well, I got photos and I’m gonna remember!

Happy Birthday Metroblogging LA!

Metroblogging LA has turned 4 today, so why don’t you go on over and give them some birthday wishes. I’m forever grateful for the site that teaches me more about the city I live in and celebrates its quirks and idiosyncrasies.

Holidailies 2007

Holidailies 2007

I just found out about this via NaBloPoMo. The site is called Holidailies and guess what you have to do? That’s write (pun intended)…you have to blog daily during the month of December. It wouldn’t be too hard for me to do, but the question is… Do I want to?

Yeah, you know I signed up for it anyway.

NoMoNaBloPoMo!

I just realized that today is the last day of NaBloPoMo. Wow…what a month it’s been. With this post include, I”ve done 125 posts. Not bad. To do it, I’ve sort of had to ignore posting on other blogs for the month and I definitely neglected my other 4 blogs that I own. It’s been an interesting experience. I’ve “met” some interesting people that’s for sure. I know that I won’t keep posting every day after this month, but I’ll consider doing this exercise next year.

ePluribusMedia

Am I missing something? WTF happened to the site? Did they shut down or move it?

Is it me…

Or does anyone else find it strange that CNNs Political Ticker blog is on Wordpress?
