It’s the little things

I’m the #2 Plurker in Los Angeles.

[applause]

Thank you, thank you…I still need to get SamProof out of my life. There was a day back in June when I was the #1 Plurker, but it must have been a glitch because Sam was nowhere to be seen. But as you can see, I’m gaining on him in the supremely stupid Karma category.

I want to thank my plurkbuddies for being such wondering and interesting conversationalists. They keep me laughing and sane throughout the day. Feel free to drop in on my plurk page and join the fun.

Lost in Paradise

Well, I had a post ready to go about a photo I snapped over the weekend. I pulled it because 8 Track Kid over at LA Metblog, not only posted the photo, but posted the same exact thing I had planned on running. Since, I decided there was no call for redundancy even if I didn’t post it over at LA Metblogs, that’d I’d post my new favorite YouTube video:

Channeling Mark Penn

The funniest thing I’ve read all day:

Yeah, but this just goes to show that Obama only wins in states that hold contested elections. Sure, he wins big in caucus states, he wins big in primary states, he wins big when turnout is low, and he wins big with record-high turnout. But what the Obama-worshipping media is overlooking is that in each of the 25 state contests Obama has won so far, his name appeared on the ballot. It’s time to stop giving Obama a pass on this critical issue.

Remember, if Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic nomination, Barack Obama’s name will not be on the ballot in November. And only Hillary Clinton has demonstrated that she can win when Obama’s name is not on the ballot. In fact, she’s undefeated in contests where Obama is not on the ballot, making her clearly the more electable general-election candidate. (Rhubarbs @ TNR)

Know what I just realized?

I only got two (unprompted) birthday wishes today. Two. I’ve always made it a point to call or email my friends (and quite a few people I don’t even like) on (or around) their birthdays to wish them a happy birthday and they’ve never reciprocated. Not even one of my best friend’s whose birthday is in 3 days has called me. :( Okay, she’s never called me on my birthday, so I don’t exactly expect her to call me now.

I must seriously suck as a human or the people I know must be amazingly self-absorbed.

I think it’s the latter. LOL!
