A meeting 'til midnight??? That ain't right. You deserve a day off after that. I guess you gotta wait 'til April though, huh? I'm bouncing off the walls here. Every time I look at that map I get happy again.

I just got back from the coffeeshop and they were kinda bummed he didn't win California. I said, "Don't worry about it. When he's the nominee, he'll take it." I explained to them the money situation, how Clinton outspent Obama and still only won states she was expected to win. On top of that, Obama raised more money than Clinton in Jan. almost 3 to 1. That's ginormous! From my view we only have one candidate that can win across the country and that candidate is Obama.

Since I was stuck in a flipping board meeting until nearly midnight last night, I am so so thankful for these summaries you posted. I agree with everything you say above. Hillary requesting all these debates is all ABOUT free publicity and because she knows she is - at the moment - better at those. My hope for yesterday was for Obama to keep it close - and he did. Great breakdown showing the red states he won. Fascinating how he has dominated the mountain states! But now Obama can tap into more fund raising, he already has more than Hillary and I really think things worked out well for him yesterday.
Yeah, you know who I am backing too :-)

Well, it's 3:30 am in Texas, and I am 1) still awake; 2) working on my latest post about Hillary and Iraq; 3) waiting to see if more election results come in; and 4) occasionally watching the movie "Batman" (the 1966 version).

I haven't looked at the exit poll results, but that won't stop me from throwing in my 2 cents.

13 states for Obama is a good showing. I am hoping that NM will make 14 and that once all the votes are counting out where you are he will end up with 45%. From what I heard the last few days, that could be considered a very successful result.

Now for some more observations...Obama won his home state (which actually is also Hillary's home state) with a greater % of the vote and by a wider margin than Hillary won NY.

The facts that Obama won big in Utah and really big in Idaho seems significant. I am not sure one could name two whiter states in the country. Maybe a list of "really white states" could include Minnesota and North Dakota, and, gee, Obama won big in those states as well "Electability," indeed.

I heard on NPR that in Alabama many of the old guard black political leaders endorsed Hillary, but the black vote went mostly to Obama. That certainly reflects what you have said in opther posts.

Obama won Connecticut, which is also basically in Hillary's NY backyard.

And what about all the votes for Edwards? I've got some interesting theories, but since I guessed he would make an endorsement befor today, I'm not going to proclaim their accuracy. :-)
